Hotel Review : The Salil Sukhumvit 57 @ Thonglor, Bangkok

Summer might be winding to a close but hey! It is Bangkok, a country that has summer all year long, fits perfectly as a criteria for a short getaway. And you know what, no excuse to reject the idea of having an annual trip here with this bunch of fun people. The Salil Sukhumvit 57 Thonglor was where we stayed. The hotel has beautiful European-like settings and not only that, it is located at a quiet yet convenient lane in Thonglor; just a few steps away from entertainment, food, shopping and massage heaven.

As mentioned, The Salil is located in the Thonglor district, Bangkok. It takes anyone approximately 10 minutes walk from Thonglor station. Just a few Skytrain stations along Sukhumvit Road from the central shopping area. *Don’t forget to grab the famous mango sticky rice on your way back to hotel*

Set well back from the main road and situated next to Marriott Hotel. The Salil is no doubt a relaxing hotel in the land of smiles. In terms of interior, it’s sleek, modern and chic, like a house at a street corner in Europe. If you’re looking for supreme comfort and minimalist style, The Salil has you well covered.

The room types comprise of Premier Room, Deluxe Suite and The Living Suite with 28, 35 and 40 square meters built up respectively. All designed with the idea of combining Western and Eastern cultures through the pattern of wallpaper showcasing nature between European birds hovering on Eastern trees. Each stay provides a different experience. We chose Deluxe Suite for our 3 nights stay in Bangkok

Coffee machine with the coffee capsule available.

Yes, eat all you can! The whole basket of snacks are complimentary 🙂

The room is spacious. It has a separate living area and bathroom with rainforest shower and a bathtub. All mod cons are in place too, including USB charging sockets, well-equipped kitchenette ready for home-style cooking, ELLE spa amenities and etc.

Simple stationary sets provided in the room.

The Salil features an outdoor rooftop pool with Jacuzzi and a decent gym room with basic equipment if you feel like burning some calories after Pad Thai and mango sticky rice.
