HOTEL REVIEW : KLoe HOTEL

The coronavirus pandemic has, of course, created a shift in how the world is moving forward in 2020. Most of us chose to postpone or even cancel, especially overseas trips due to travel restrictions. It is also a more prudent thing to do given how vulnerable the situation is.

Taking a staycation may be a safer option than the usual getaways since air travels abroad are mostly still being restricted. Undoubtedly, a staycation provides a sense of adventure close to home.

After months of working from home, my weekends have slowly blended into my weekdays. Therefore, we picked KLoe Hotel, located right in the heart of the city, for our two-day staycation just to recharge.

LOCATION

KLoe Hotel is right in the heart of the Golden Triangle, just 5 minute walk from Pavillion. Absolutely a perfect location!

DESIGN

KLoe hotel officially opened its door on 1st March 2020, the hotel's name is a wordplay on 'Kuala Lumpur' and 'Chloe' - meaning 'tender, young shoot' in Greek. This hotel is a true city hotel in that the decor has a modern industrious/artsy look and feel. The lobby offers modern design and comfortable seating and not forgeting the tapestry over hung above the reception. It is a masterpiece by Malaysian textile and surface designer Lim Shan Shan.

ROOM

KLoe Hotel has 80 rooms, comprising standard and deluxe rooms with city or courtyard views. It has 5 unique bespoke lofts that are named after favorite ways of indulgence: Room to Listen, Room to Read, Room to Draw, Room to Grow, and Room to Taste. Each room has unique artwork from paintings to metal sculptures.

We had the Courtyard room which offers exclusive courtyard and pool views in Kloe Hotel. The room does not lack natural sunlight at all, which did justice to the contemporary designed room as we walked in. One thing I loved the most is the pillow comfort, perfectly suited me although it can be subjective.

FACILITIES

The pool is another picturesque part of the property. Surrounded by green walls and open walkways complete with skyscrapers as a backdrop. B.est Mind & Body wellness center is located right next to the pool area, offers group and personal yoga, meditation, fitness sessions, and more.

P/s: The swimming pool and B.est Mind & Body wellness center have reopened with a limited number of guests due to strict health SOPs during RMCO period.

DINING

MONROE

A major selling point for KLoe Hotel is Monroe Restaurant and The Lucky Coffee Bar. The dining room and cafe both provide a relaxing and stylish ambiance. The quality of food was just amazing and it also has an extensive menu from local to western cuisines to satisfy your tastebuds. Breakfast lovers should definitely try their Big Breakfast and Lavender Earl Grey Cured Salmon Croissant!

Do also try Lamb Ragu, Smashed Burger, and also their signature Hot Cereal Latte in the lunch menu.

LUCKY COFFEE BAR

Dream Cake
Lemon Loaf

The go-to spot for hipsters, Lucky Coffee Bar boasts a cozy indoor space in the lobby, which serves finely-brewed coffee and pastries. Do drop by for some delicious croissants and cakes, to go with freshly brewed coffee for a lazy afternoon. Their Dream Cake and Lemon Loft are definitely my favorites!

KLoe Hotel is no doubt a beautiful property! It’s perfect if you’re looking to take some time out to revitalise your mind and body. The staff was all friendly and helpful in facilitating our requests. Some major plus points of KLoe Hotel are the design, location, breakfast, and pool. If you're looking for somewhere to stay within some real personality, a home away from home, then this is the place for you.
